2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N is the company's first high-performance electric vehicle. This model improves on the standard IONIQ 5, adding major upgrades to create a track-ready electric SUV. By mixing new technology with performance features, the IONIQ 5 N aims to change drivers' expectations of fast electric cars.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 IONIQ 5 N comes in one well-equipped version that shows off its performance design. It has 21-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero PZ4 tires for great grip and handling. The car looks different from other models with N-exclusive styling, having more aggressive front and rear parts, wider wheel arches, and aerodynamic side skirts. The front grille has an N-exclusive design, along with LED daytime running lights. The front bumper has air flaps to improve airflow, a rear spoiler, and an N-exclusive rear diffuser, giving it a sportier appearance. The IONIQ 5 N has useful features, including auto-retracting flush door handles and charging ports on both sides. A popular exterior color option is Performance Blue Matte.
Engine (Power)
The IONIQ 5 N has two electric motors that can provide 641 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque when using the N Grin Boost function. Without this boost, it still makes 601 horsepower. The N Grin Boost generates 10 seconds of maximum power, which is great for passing other cars or going fast in a straight line. Power goes to all four wheels through the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system, which helps with traction and stability. The car's energy comes from an 84-kilowatt liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack, which can charge quickly at 238 kilowatts using a DC fast charger.
Performance
The IONIQ 5 N goes as fast as many gas-powered sports cars. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.25 seconds and reach a top speed of 162 mph. The IONIQ 5 N can travel a quarter-mile in 11.1 seconds, crossing the finish line at 123 mph. For track-driving enthusiasts, the car can grip the road with 0.96 g of force and stop quickly, going from 70 to 0 mph in 153 feet. The IONIQ 5 N has noteworthy features, such as an N Drift Optimizer for controlled sliding, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and a suspension set up for tracks. The N regenerative braking system helps save energy when slowing down. Even with all this performance, it still goes around 221 miles on one charge.
Interior
Inside the IONIQ 5 N, you'll find N-exclusive sports seats that keep you secure during fast driving. The car features a 12.3-inch digital screen displaying important car information. The 12.3-inch touchscreen in the dashboard's center controls the car's functions and entertainment system. The steering wheel contains the N brand and special N buttons that allow drivers to quickly change various settings. The vehicle has an N mode designed for racetrack driving, enabling it to perform at its best. All these parts work together to create an environment appealing to driving enthusiasts while remaining practical for everyday use.
Safety Features
The IONIQ 5 N comes with many safety technologies, including an improved forward collision-avoidance assist and highway driving assist to help with semi-autonomous driving. The blind-spot view monitor and surround view monitor enhance visibility, while safe exit assist helps prevent accidents when opening doors. Lane-keeping assist and driver attention warning systems are included to make everyday driving safer.
